7/25/06-
THIS WEEKEND is JSS Championship 2006!! The 2006 Junior
Super Series Challenge Spring Season is almost over. But in New Jersey,
two skilled players have already won invitations to the
championships. They are Paul Bieber-Tremblay and Jonathan Sukenik, both
players from The Only Game in Town. Jonathan ripped through his match-ups
using his rogue tech: green/black aggro. The sheer power of Dark
Confidant, Moldervine Cloak, Dryad Sophisticate, and Putrefy in the same deck is
not to be underestimated. (Not to mention the Solifuges and Silhana
Ledgewalkers out of the sideboard against control decks.) Paul brought an
interesting deck as well. His R/W/B Control concoction was designed to
destroy aggro decks, and that it did. His combination of board sweepers,
removal, burn, and Dragon Spirits was more effective than he realized.
Jonathan was able to intentionally draw into the top 8 after the Swiss rounds,
but Paul thought he was out of contention for sure. But one 3-2 was
able to squeeze into the top 8; it was Paul. He beat the first seeded
player, and won the next round along with an invite. When Jonathan and
Paul met in the finals, they split the prize. Jonathan and Paul, we wish
you good luck at the JSS Championship 2006!-- written by TOGIT reporter, Silas
Waltzer.

500 pt week which, of course was great too! More cruel defeats and awesome
triumphs. Late update for 6/24/06- this was 400 pt
week- which was a great stage for beginners to start and learn the game or for
veterans to start a new army. Beginners and spectators are welcome at any pt
level. Late update for 6/17/06- Come join
our Warhammer fantasy: Warbands escalation. Throughout the summer
warbands will continue to grow at 100 pts per week. 300 pt week's
highlighter: After an incredible 11 victories in a row last week, "Troll
Boy" John, ran into trouble at the 300 pt level. "Troll
Boy" John watched his Black Orks as they were dismantled at the hands of
the Empire, and then suffered a crushing defeat before the might of the
Tzeentch chaos warband.
